The Haldex Gen 5 all-wheel drive (AWD) and Haldex Differential Electronic Module (DEM) are both found in VAG group (Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda, Seat), Land Rover, and Ford vehicles. These Haldex ECUs control the torque distribution between the front and rear axles, ensuring that handling and traction control perform as they should. Despite their advanced technology, the Haldex Gen 5 and DEM are known to fail.

Haldex Gen 5 ECUs will typically display failure symptoms such as an illuminated traction control warning light, often followed by reduced traction and handling in the vehicle. Haldex DEM failure will however trigger warning messages to appear on the dashboard for ‘Anti-Skid Service Required’ or ‘Transmission Service Required’. When the DEM malfunctions, it will also cause aggressive wheel spin when pulling off from start.

Package the Haldex ECU inside a sturdy box with plenty of packaging material (make sure you include your confirmation email in the box).

Send us your package by tracked courier (the shipping instructions are on the confirmation email).

Once received we will test, rebuild and return your Haldex unit with an unlimited mileage lifetime warranty. (if your unit turns out not to be faulty then we will refund your payment less a small testing fee and return shipping)
