This electric power steering ECU is a very common problem for the Peugeot 107 built between 2005 - 2013. The common fault we see is that the steering will fail suddenly without warning. Usually the fault will clear itself for a period of time and then re-occur. If you have had the vehicle diagnosed then you may also have the following fault codes: C1554 - power steering malfunction / system voltage, C1552 - power supply and C1555 - motor fault. If I purchase this will it cure my fault?
Other faults on the vehicle may be the cause of your symptoms, even if the vehicles symptoms match those that we have set out on our common fault description. A full professional diagnostic check should be performed and all other possible causes eliminated first.
If a 'Buy Now' replacement unit is purchased due to misdiagnosis then we are unable to grant a full refund if the component is fitted to the vehicle, components fitted to the vehicle will in most cases require re-programming, re-testing & re-manufacturing after they are returned to us, therefore we are only able to grant a 50% refund under these circumstances.
If a ‘Get Yours Rebuilt’ service is purchased due to misdiagnosis then we will charge a testing fee plus return shipping if we test the unit and find that it is not faulty, then the remainder of the payment would be refunded to you.
