PRODUCT INFORMATION

Vehicle Details:

MakeVolkswagen ModelGOLF Engine Size:1.2 - 2.0 SpecificationTSI / TDI Years:2008 - 2016

Common Faults:

This VW Golf DSG 7 gearbox controller is a very common failure that affects vehicles built between 2008 and 2015. Failure of this DSG 7 unit will cause a loss of drive and/or failure to change through gears. This will also cause the PRNDS, EML & EPC light to illuminate and the gear symbol to flash on the instrument cluster. You may also notice that the main 30-amp fuse blows causing a complete loss of communication with the gearbox system when performing a diagnostic check. If you are able to communicate with the gearbox system, then you will likely see one or all of the following fault codes stored: "005636 / P1604 - Internal Control Module", 10902 / P17BF – Hydraulic pump play protection, 16946 / P0562 / 001378 - System Voltage Low & P189C / 006300 - Function restriction due to insufficient pressure build-up. If I purchase this will it cure my fault?

REVIEWS FOR THIS PRODUCT

Excellent Service 5/5

I was trying to find at least one fault with this company but it’s not happening. From start to finish just excellent service, fantastic website and turnaround time and kept up to date daily. I would 100% recommend this company Thanks Guys for your exceptional service.

Be very aware!! 1/5

The initial 'repair' was done in December 2022 job no:1671540997499. A fault identified by ECU was 'rectified'for some £600.00.The mechatronic was returned damaged! It was returned and 'rectified'. The unit failed same fault after little use. Unit was returned in August 2023 under the "lifetime guarantee". Failed yet again. ECU want me to pay for yet another removal and refit at a cost of some £250.00!! Refused a test by VW dealer! Legal Action!

Professional, Communicative and Fast 5/5

I have been impressed with the service and communication responses to my queries. While it may seem odd to send a mechanical part across the Atlantic from the U.S., their system makes it seamless. David Johnstone, their customer service rep, has been clear and professional. Even if my mechatronic is shown to be non-functional, it has been a pleasure to work with this service.

The best in the business 5/5

Had my DSG ECU repaired by this guy's and as usual they are the best in the business. Great communication with the customer thru the repair stages and quick and secure returns of the item. Would highly recommend again to everyone

VW Golf DSG Gearbox fault 5/5

When engaging the gear selector (forward / reverse), the transmission disengages the gear and engages neutral (although the gear is still selected in the display). Pressing the brake pedal clears the fault. Megatronic sent for repair on Monday from Finland, arrived on Tuesday in England, accepted for inspection on Wednesday, notice of repairability on Thursday, fixed and sent back on Friday, on Monday in Finland. Fast delivery, thank you.
